
Monica was drawn to Tania Glenn & Associates due to the practice’s strong sense of purpose and her strong desire to strengthen the mental health of first responders, veterans, and their families. Monica enjoys being able to work with this population in both therapy and peer support.
Monica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned her Masters degree in Clinical Social Work with a specialization in Direct Practice with Children and Families from the University of Texas at Arlington.She earned her Bachelors of Art in Child Development from San Jose State University.
Monica has a strength based approach to working with individuals and believes everyone has the tools needed to become more resilient. Her approach is filled with education and practical tools that can be utilized in every day life. Monica has been trained in EMDR and has seen it to be an invaluable tool in treating traumas and PTSD. She believes there is no better moment than when a client experiences relief from their trauma.
Monica enjoys getting out of the office to teach Peer Support and presenting Trauma & Resilience. Teaching peer support is one of her favorite things as it has such a huge positive impact on individuals as well as departments. Monica loves being able to work with and get to know our peer support teams.
Monica’s favorite moments are getting outside and enjoying time with her family and dogs.
