Amy Babineaux, LCSW-BACS, has been a social worker since 1997 and serves as a Strike Team Member with Tania Glenn & Associates.
She began her career as a child welfare investigator working abuse and neglect cases alongside law enforcement and the court system. She later worked in dialysis for many years, supporting patients and families facing chronic illness and end-of-life issues, and was part of the regional response caring for displaced patients from the southern region impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
She also spent many years as an emergency room social worker providing crisis intervention and support to patients and families during high-stress and traumatic situations. Her career has also included hospice care and working with homeless veterans. She also worked on the 988 Veterans Crisis Line, providing acute crisis support to veterans.
Most of her career has been spent working with people experiencing crisis, grief, trauma, and high-stress life situations.
She has worked with first responders throughout her career and also understands the profession personally as the wife of a retired police officer and USMC Veteran.
Amy is EMDR trained and is especially interested in early intervention, peer support, and critical incident response. Amy is known for being calm in a crisis and for being someone people can talk to when things are at their worst.
