Roland Waits

Roland is a Licensed Professional Counselor, military veteran, and Texas Peace Officer. From his own life experiences, he knows and understands the value of having someone to talk with that understands what the military and public safety life throws at a person.

Roland served in the United States Air Force as a Law Enforcement Specialist from 1986 – 1996 and with Georgetown Police Department, TX from 1994 – present. Roland received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from St. Edward’s University in 2000 and returned to school to obtain his Master of Science degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University – Central Texas in May 2018 and graduating in 2021. Roland has focused his work with the military, veterans, first responders, and the older population.

Roland believes no one therapeutic approach fits all his clients, and he uses a variety of different approaches. These approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which are evidenced-based therapies, along with Person-Centered Therapy and Sand Therapy.
