Monique Overmyer

Monique is a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Monique received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall Texas in 2005 and a Master of Science in Health and Human Performance from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah Oklahoma in 2007. Monique later joined the military serving in multiple capacities.

She commissioned as a Transportation Officer in 2010 later becoming a Logistics Officer. After commissioning, Monique served/deployed overseas 4 times serving once within the United States Pacific Command (PACOM), twice within the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), and once within the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM). Monique also deployed once under the United States Northern Command (NORTHCOM) which deploys rapidly to protect the continental United States, Alaska, and it’s interests. While in the Army, Monique served as an Officer In Charge (OIC) of a Female Engagement Team (FET), Company Commander, Operations Officer, and Battalion Executive Officer. Monique retired in 2022 after her 5th deployment with a vision to provide better mental health to those who serve/served their city, state, and country.

After retiring, Monique earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Saint Edwards University in Austin Texas. Monique has focused her work around serving active-duty military, veterans, and first responders since 2021 as she saw first-hand the need for culture competent therapist while serving in combat as well as working with first responders during peace keeping and humanitarian missions.
